KinetiClass is an interactive pharmacokinetics teaching tool. Dynamic worksheets are provided that demonstrate a variety of concepts that apply to clinical veterinary patients. Calculations are believed to be accurate but the authors make no warranty concerning their use in actual patients.
PLEASE NOTE:
|
The exercises labeled Basic Principles (Part I) are meant to familiarize you with a few fundamental pharmacokinetic concepts. It is also intended to introduce you to the KinetiClass lab spreadsheets and how to use them. Finally, it provides you with an opportunity to examine both linear and semi-logarithmic plots of plasma concentration data and (hopefully) to understand strengths and weaknesses of each view. The exercises labeled Clinical Scenarios (Part II) expand on the basic pharmacokinetic concepts outlined under "Basic Principles". These exercises emphasize multiple doses in order to introduce concepts such as "steady-state" drug accumulation. All of the exercises are based on clinical problems that have a pharmacokinetic basis and all are supported by pharmacokinetic literature citations. Click on the name of an exercise to go there. |
